Bahisti Zewar (translated as Heavenly Ornaments) was written by Molana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rehmah tullah eleh) is a 8 volume comprehensive book of Fiqh (jurisprudence) sepecial for the education of girls and women. It dicribed five pillar of Islam and also highlight more obscure principle. For year it has remained a favorite with the people of indo-Pakistan subcontinent. Among (Hanfi Deobandi) Muslims, it is a popular practice to present this volume to a new Bride. The motivation is behind this gesture is that the young women is taking up a new identity and a new life as a wife and mother to be.
