Food and drink are great bounties of ALLAH swt.
Every grain of food and every drop of water or any halal drink must be greatly appreciated. Wasting is the way of shaitaan. ALLAH Subhan Watala says:
Surat Al-'Isrā' (The Night Journey) - Chapter No: 17
Verse No: 27
إIndeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.
We have been especially warned against wasting food and drink.
The Quraan-ul- Kareem proclaims:
Surat Al-'A`rāf (The Heights) -Chapter No: 07
Verse No: 31
O Children of Adam! Take your adornment (by wearing your clean clothes), while praying and going round (the Tawaf of ) the Ka'bah, and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allah) likes not Al-Musrifun (those who waste by extravagance).
