The great prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said :
“Oh Allah, return my people into the way of light, they do not know; what are they doing.”

In the battle field of Uhud that is one of the greatest battles of the history of Islam, The Muslims were forced to face their enemies who came from Mecca. They were Qureshites who were the citizens of Mecca in that time. They came to kill all the Muslims who were the citizens of Medina and the great prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the leader of Muslims. The Muslims were peaceful. So, the Muslims fought against the invading Meccan army to protect their land as well their ideology.
The Qureshites came to the battle field with three thousand fighters. Their army was financially and logistically very strong than Muslims. The Muslims were consisting of seven hundred companions but they were very strong morally than the Qureshites. The ferocious army of Mecca arrived at the area of Ohod. The Ohod is five miles away from Medina that was the place of Muslims. The two parties of war gathered themselves on the battle field of Uhud. The great prophet Muhammad (pbuh), himself arranged the queue of Muslims. He ordered some Muslims to guard an important narrow hill path behind the Muslims. He placed fifty marksmen there. The guarded mountain slope was very important in that war field. When the war was begun, Muslims were fighting with bravery.
The Qureshites started running away from the battle field though they were stronger than Muslims But the primary winning position in the battle field made the Muslims very happy and undutiful. The placed fifty marksmen forgot their own duties. They left the place forgetting their order. As a result, the enemy army got a chance and they attacked the Muslims from behind side of the war field. The Muslims were wondered when they saw that they were being attacked behind of them without any notification. So, the situation turned into a disastrous position.
Many companions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) were killed by the army of Mecca. Many of them were injured severely. The prophet got wounded on his forehead. The helmet entered into his forehead. Also he lost his teeth. For this kind of serious injury, the great prophet became senseless. The companions of prophet brought him in a safe place beside the battle field.
The great prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was surrounded by his companions. The prophet was senseless. After getting sense, he opened his eyes, and then the first thing that he said is:
“Oh Allah, return my people into the way of light, they do not know; what are they doing.”
History says, Muhammad (pbuh) was the greatest man who forgave his enemies and always blessed to almighty Allah for their welfare.
